About the Founder
Greg Schumacher is an executive recruiter based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to establishing Schumacher Executive Search, Greg was a Principal with a boutique firm located in the Twin Cities. He began his executive search career in 1996 as a Senior Associate in the Minneapolis office of Korn/Ferry International, a leading global retained search firm.
Greg has completed Director, Vice President, President and C-level searches in a broad range of functional areas for a variety of companies in the technology, healthcare, industrial, financial services and consumer products industries. His clients include privately-held and publicly-traded companies ranging from early stage ventures to established Fortune 500 organizations.
Prior to working in the executive search industry, Greg consulted corporate clients across a variety of diverse industries on executive risk and corporate governance programs with Aon, a leading global insurance brokerage and consulting firm, and Chubb, a global commercial property and casualty insurance company.
Greg received an MBA in Strategic Management with a Marketing emphasis from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Saint John's University.
Greg has served as a volunteer with a variety of organizations including the Pathways and HopeMakers programs through the Basilica of St. Mary's St. Vincent de Paul Ministries, Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Carlson School. He is a Past President of the Saint John's University National Alumni Board, a participant in the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Minnesota program and a Discussion Leader for the Anderson Center's Succession Strategies Forum.
